The flower comes apart as the time runs out. Every dot
has one place in the box waiting for it, and drifts there.
An armed alarm holds the flower scattered in its own
field — the same one every time it runs — and puts it back together
over the assembly window, whole at the moment it rings.

Three bands of light travel the brightness scale
instead of a dial. The tight bright one crosses once a minute, the
soft one once an hour, the broad glow once every twelve. Where they
sit is the time. On the hour the whole field blooms.

Pixels darker than this get no dot at all. Raise it to
cut a subject off its background; drop it to zero to keep the whole frame.
